Hi,

I've got an early 700 that has the 4 gb SD card. Tried to use IFly connect to get the new 7.5 operating system. It told me I didn't have enough memory space. I looked back and found a thread recommending a larger card. I have a Sandisk 8 gb Ultra card here (20 mb/s) that the system doesn't seem to find. My computer recognizes it, but I tried several times to resart and reseat the card - no luck. Any pointers on what kind of SD card I need?

I put the old 4gb card back in, then did the update via a USB stick. Had to delete Alaska in order to have enough memory room. That's not a big deal -probably won't be flying up there real soon :)!

Second question, seems that I have shading indicating a TFR over the Denver and Colorado Springs areas. When I look up airspace, it shows TFR #2/2931 active May 23 10930z until May 23 2300z. Todays date/time is October 11, 0425z. System is showing the correct date/time after a restart, but the airspace shading remains.

To move to the 8gb SD card, just copy the entire contents from your 4gb card to your PC, then to a blank 8gb SD card. I would recommend a high quality SD card like Sandisk or Lexar. The class is not critical as is really relates to write speeds, but anything of class 4 or better should be fine.

After you have all the contents from your 4gb card on your new 8gb card, you can run iFly Connect or the USB update as usual. I hope this helps. If you are not comfortable around a PC and the SD cards, call us and we can walk you through it. Be careful not to delete or omit any files, they are all critical.

Yes, that is correct. This is how most 8gb cards likely come from the store. However if the card has been used in a Mac environment or other, it would be best to confirm for FAT32 format.
