The iFLY 720 virtually eliminates the need for approach plates and Low-Enroute chats for navigation. Howerv, for flight planning, you still need a copy of current enroute charts. Would it be possible to integrated hard copies of the Enroute charts with your subscription, at an obviously increased cost (but hopefully cheaper than buying both separately)? With current paper charts and the 720 plates, you could flight plan, navigate and fly approaches (could always print some plates for specific airports before flight in case of a mechanical fialure).

Paper Low-Enroute charts and Plate are available for download. I's actually a service porvided by the FAA. It is pretty cumbersome and extensive but for occasional use it might be handy for some. Having redundant backup, hard copy, etc is always the best practice.

Low Enroutes available at http://aeronav.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=aeronav/applications/IFR/chartlist_enroute

IFR Plates available at http://aeronav.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=aeronav/applications/d_tpp

These are only available for the cycle time and not earlier that 24 hours prior. I hope this helps.
