How do I update the 520 if I only have a Mac with OS X? As I understand it, the SD update option is only available using Windows. Also, the USB HOST port on the 520 looks as if there could be a direct connection to my Mac (assuming I could get the correct USB cable), but I'm not sure there is a direct connect option to update??? The USB Flash (thumbdrive) does not appear to be an option either since there is no USB port on the 520.

Thank you David. Will any USB standard to micro USB converter adapter work? Is there a model number or brand that must be used?

Thanks David. I have a USB 2.0 Type A to Micro B male-to-male cable. Can I just save the Update Package to my Mac hard drive (versus a USB Flash drive) and install directly to the iFly520 host port using the cable?

Webby,

With the latest software update, you can now save that UpdatePackage.zip file right on the SD card. Then insert the SD card into the iFly 520 (even 700 and 720) and boot the unit up and select the Update Option at the start up screen.

You cannot use a cable to connect the iFly 520/700/720 directly to a computer. It's not the same usb port as most other units since we use this USB port to drive out Serial and NMEA data for autopilots, etc. I hope this helps.

FYI: This was fixed with the upgraded software patch 7.6.22. I am able to update using the SD with no problem now. Thank you to everyone at Adventure Pilot for your help. VERY IMPRESSIVE CUSTOMER CARE.
