Is there a way to append one flight plan to another (or insert one)?

For example let's say I plan from KVGT to KSAN. I decide my route and everything is set. I know that at my airport they always vector everyone out the same way. I have saved that as a flight plan. (2 fixes and 2 imaginary fixes). I'd like to insert that flight plan into my current plan.

I don't know of a way to do that now. It sounds like perhaps iFly should allow us to build custom Departures. That way, you could use the IFR departure feature to add your canned departure route.

Perhaps the best way to handle this now is to have a flight plan which only has your departure in it, Save this. The to create a new flight plan, Load this baseline plan, and then Add your destination waypoints to it, and then tap the top Plan "name" box, and select "Auto-Name", then you can save it as a new plan. Have you tried this already? I just tested it and it seems to work very well.

I like the idea of custom departure (or arrival) procedures. That should be relatively easy thing.

Brian: In my case, this would require planning a route with everything that's involved there, writing down that route, going back and loading the DP and then re-entering the route. I frequently need to do significant route planning for the survey work we do. This means loading a start and end point, then all the stops in between, re-ordering them based upon a number of factors, wash rinse repeat. It certainly can be done as you suggest, it's just not the easiest (I could also save/load my final route and then manualy insert the 3 or 4 departure waypoints).

This certainly is *not* a high priority request. Just thought I'd throw out the idea if it was easy.
