During first use of the ADSB receiver I had what appeared to be a ghost plane offset about 0.3 mi or less from my position. Wondering if anyone else had seen this, and have a suggestion of what could be done. I'm guessing there is a mismatch of the GPS receivers (they were not up against the canopy but we down in the baggage compartment in back,... maybe some signal bounce) Approach had other traffic, but did not mention or call to another that close and following me.

Other than that,... great,.. really useful display and like the alert that says relative position and other info. There were some other real aircraft close aboard.

I have had two false reports of traffic at 12 O'clock, one mile. CAVU; nothing seen. Scares the crap out of you!

I too suspected some type of ghosting issue. I was using only the iFly GPS, no GPS antenna connected to the SkyRadar reciever.

I had one at 5 o'clock .01 nm. Yes that would be 60 feet...same altitude heading and speed. It had to be me, I suspect it was caused by a difference in the reported position of my aircraft through ADSB and the internal position according to the iFly.

WHENever I'm receiving traffic I always have a ghost plane, which I have figured out is me.

For some reason FreeFlight recomends installing my L band antenna (which would be aft on the belly of my RV) at least 6 feet from any trans or DME antenna, also at least 3 feet from com antennas. A 30" ground plane is also recomended.
