Custom Location issues

When I create a Custom Location and type in a Lat Long, The GPS operates fine and creates a flight plan when prompted. However, if I power down the GPS then restart it, the Custom Location is available, but the Lat Longs are now all zeros. Does anyone have any suggestions??
