I remembered the post as well but thgouth Dave picked it up for his Car and not the plane. Altough it seems the coiled cord would work well in the airplane I just wasn't sure. I actually tried to get my A$P to switch my dc outlet over to the Avionic switch and at first he said sure but then backed off. For the price of the annual he should have supplied a 200 mile exrtension cord.
