Ya, that box is better than nothing, but I find it hard to locate sometimes. Also, the box at the top of the circle can be obscurred by other data being displayed.
I think it would be a lot more useful to have the age always displayed on any weather zoom level.
We had a lot of weather in the southeast yesterday and I had a chance to try and get comfortable with the iFly - SkyRadar setup using the NEXRAD info. I spent a lot of time trying to locate the box at the top of the circle to check the age of the display (which is incorrect due the known bug, but does change to a lower value when updated). The age box was almost never displayed on the zoom level I would be using if trying to get around weather.
