Having the appropriate rotate, best glide speed, pattern, over the numbers and touchdown speed, and VNE at a glance would be nice.

A pop-up warning for approach to stall speed and VNE would be a great safety feature. If someone were to get "heads down" in the iFly and loose situational awareness, a pop-up might save an accident, or at least an embarrassing situation For those of us who fly multiple aircraft, having each aircraft's appropriate V-numbers available quickly would be a nice feature.

A pop up menu at boot asking which stored aircraft is being flown (tail number?) could load checklists, flight planning parameters, and V-speed information.

Having the correct checklists and speeds available from a single on-screen menu would be a great safety and convenience feature.

I'd think others would chime in here as well, but GPS speeds are useless as aircraft V speeds. It might be nice to have a pop up window that would list all the V speeds of your particular aircraft for reference in whatever situations you may deem them desirable. However, I would be against having warnings on these speeds because, as I stated above, they'd be at a minimum useless, and potentially disastrous.

I absolutely agree that the GPS generated speeds are ground reference speeds and do NOT represent the airspeed of the aircraft. Having said that, I was not thinking you would rely on the GPS speed for decision making or piloting, but as an alert that you might need to check the actual airspeed indicator. I know it is easy to get absorbed in setting up or checking the GPS. Having at least a "check your speed" alert might be enough to avert an incident.

But I really like the idea of multiple aircraft profiles and including custom checklists. If the V numbers are included, can be refferenced quickly with or without alerts or warnings would just be icing on the cake.

Mike(2) is correct: Because pressure and winds are unknown, indicated air speed is not known (and can be dramatically different than ground speed). False alerts when landing into a headwind would be irritating at best and distracting/dangerous at worst.

But being able to store aircraft profiles, to include v-speeds, weight-balance, checklists, etc, is a great idea. This is on the wishlist.
