I'm able to get good reception at home and we finally have a little wx that is showing up in the weather mode. The GMT time appears correct at the top of the circle. The time went from -35 min to -25 min when it updated (I just happened to be watching it).

Maybe -25 min is as good as it gets?

Bill

Update: Just checked and last update was -7 min!

Update 2: An hour later - new wx is displayed with a very small circle. The Z time is obscurred by the green circle of an airplort. Age of NEXRAD shows -1360 min.

It shouldn't be that stale; there is either a bug in the app or a problem in the timestamps in the data. I've added this to the list for repair in the next release. We're working on this and other fixes now, I'll give an update on when this will be released - but we're not waiting for v7 for these.

Thanks,
Walter

Walter,

Went for our Wed. hamburger today and had the Ifly on weather to check metars etc ,no wx around, and I zoomed out to to level 9 or 10 (normal ?) to check the time stamp and it was reading -300 and some min and did not change much. On the flight out took about 10 min. for the reporting stations to show color, return flight they showed color fairly quick, normal?

There is an issue with the nexrad timestamps, we're looking into that. 10 minutes seems reasonable to get in the air, get a signal, and start receiving data. Return flight you may have been seeing data gathered during the outbound for the first 10 minutes.
