Soon to have a new to me RV-6 to place under my new iFly 720 and the RV has a Garmin 396 mounted in the panel with the airgizmo mount with an external gps antennae. Can I use the external antennae on the 720?

I successfully adapted the external antenna from my 496 to my 720, but I did have to cobble an adapter to take the connector from BNC to MCX...cost about two bucks.

Note: I find the external antenna necessary for the 720, since I use it on a custom knee board, portrait mode.

That sounds easy enough.

I wonder if you could rig a splitter and use both units off of the one antennae???
