Hello Ralph,

Yes I am based at MGY and used to fly out of MWO many years ago. I was in the FLAPS aero club and flew their PA28R-200 and Cherokee 180D.

I have not taken the plunge into the ADS-B realm yet. I am waiting for the dust to settle and really hoping the Redeiver they are using with the I-Pad might one day be compatible. The lack of wires is a great thing I think. If that never works out I might try the L model.

I am assuming you haven't taken the plunge either.

Happy Flying,

Tim

I was told that iFly was also talking with Sagetech, they look to have a promising unit also. I will take a look at your possibility also. Ken

We just received a Stratus to test and we've succesfully connected the iFly 720 to the device. Walter is not just making sure all the data is decoded properly. But at this point it looks as if there will be no compatibility issues with the iFly 720 and the Stratus.

As for the Clarity by Sagetech. Yes, we are talking with them to. We are on the list for them to send a prototype to for us to test with. We had a conversion with them yeasterday and both parties see no reason the devices won't talk to each other. They will also be sending us a SDK so we can do a simulated test hopefully within the week.

There are some very nice ADS-B devices coming into the market now at much more reasonable prices. Stay tuned.

Re Stratus, there will be some minor coding to complete the integration with that product. We expect to have this in v7 release, but might be 7.5 if we run into any difficulties.

Charles,

If i remember correctly you are in the TRI area. I am flying there every couple weeks working on a project at the VAMC in Mountain Home.

Nice Airport.

I am indeed based at KTRI. I have been away for a week......perhaps I will see you there.
