I've been experimenting with my new 720 unit and would like to upgrade the sd card from 8gb to either 16 or 32 to add music. A few of quick questions:

1. Can the card be replaced without rendering iFly Street inoperable?

2. Is there a maximum size card the hardware can handle?

3. How much does the speed of the card effect the performance? What is the maximum speed that motherboard sd interface supports?

Thanks,

Paul

Thanks Ed.

Just a suggestion then.

If possible, it would be nice if you all could offer an upgrade option for either ordering the unit with a bigger card or a service for exchanging orginial card for a bigger one.

(In my plane, space is very limited and leaving a USB thumb drive plugged in to play music while flying could interfere with control access and movement.)

Loving the unit so far.

Thanks.

Paul,

That is something we could possibly look into. We have'nt had to many requests to date, but that may change.

Keep in mind, if you are not needing iFly Streets while flying. You can copy and paste all contents of the SD card (except iFly Streets folder) to a larger SD Card and you should be able to gain the extra space you are needing for your music. Only the iFly Streets folder is bound to the current SD card. It might also be handy to have the backup SD card in the event an SD card failure, it's not likely but also not impossible.

I hope this helps. Thanks for the great feedback and we are glad you are enjoying you iFly GPS. Have a great day.
