Just upgraded to 6.5. I get only intermitent weather data from ADSB. I really want to be able to reliably drive my autopilot and get weather. Any update on resolution to this for the 700?

You can try the latest 6.5.7 version - we've made some tweaks to how NMEA data is being sent.

Oh, that is on the beta updates page. If you don't have that role just wait a few days and it'll be on production.

Hi Walter,

I just installed 6.5.7 and I'm sorry to report that, at least on my trusty '700, the data output cycles on and off about every 20 seconds and is therefore useless. Even when it cycles on the course information is missing most of the time. I then rebooted with 6.0.8 and as usual everything is OK with the NMEA output.

OK - so here's what I know on the 700.

On 6.0.8 I thought I had the SkyRadar and NMEA both working via a hub, based on a couple of short test flights. However on a longer trip I realized that after a short while I wasn't getting weather updates. The NMEA data to my EFIS/Autopilot was rock-steady...HSI perfect all the time (Original iFly cable/Pin 2 clipped off).

I upgraded to the released 6.5 software last week. No change in SkyRadar issue, but for the first time I lost the HSI a couple of time briefly during flight. I downloaded 6.5.7 (beta) earlier tonight based on Walters comments above (before seeing your post). Sounds like for the 700 it's probably not going to help, but I'll test fly it and report also.

I don't really want to have to make a choice between weather or HSI/Autopilot and I know Walter and the team will eventually work this all out.
