Walter,
First off, I don't say it often enough, but I'm really pleased with my iFly. I am also amazingly pleased by the continual improvements AP makes to the software (and hardware!) so that my already-good iFly just keeps getting better over time!
That said, I've noticed a behavior that seems to happen a little more frequently than it should. I think this used to also happen on my 700, but since I no longer have that device I can't say for sure. What happens is that I'll tap the screen (on a button or menu selection), I'll get both an audible "chirp" and a visual highlight of the item I selected...
...and then nothing happens. I'll sit there staring at the highlighted menu selection, or waiting for the menu to pop up, and eventually realize, "Oh...it didn't take," and I'll tap the screen again.
This seems to happen rather frequently. Maybe 1 out of 20 taps-ish? At any rate, in a five minute period of bouncing through menus looking at STARs for an airport or looking at all the setup screens, it will happen 2-3 times.
Oddly, I have never noticed a "missed tap" when using the keyboard to enter flight plan waypoints. I've only noticed it when navigating menus inside the navigation app.
It's a minor issue, and certainly easy enough to work around (just tap the screen again), but it seems like an obvious bug and something that's fixable. (After all, the unit is clearly feeding back that it felt my screen tap...it just occasionally decides to be ornery and not to do anything with it!)
Am I the only one to ever notice this, or just the first one to mention it on the forums?
