If you use iFly Connect to update the SD card directly via a Windows PC (get it here: http://www.iflygps.com/iFly-GPS/Updat...ad-iFly-Connect), it will always automatically offer the most current software if an updated version is available. (BTW, beta software versions are generally not available for the iFly portable devices.) Conversely, if iFly Connect does not present a "Software" update line item (always near the top, I think usually second or third behind Weather and maybe something else I can't recall right now), then you already have the most current version installed.
It's been a very long time since I used the "Create a USB update package" method, but I'm pretty sure software updates are also pushed that way, too.
