I poped the 4GB SD card out of my iFly and looked at its content on my laptop. I was supprised to see that it is 98% full already. Those plates really take the space! Can I delete some of the maps that I don't need right now to make room for more plates? - Like Alaska and Hawaii? If so, can I use my laptop to delete them or should I use the 'About' menu on the iFly to delete them? Also, can an 8GB SD card be used in the iFly? Thanks. - Jim Williams

Yes, you can delete the data you don't need. It's okay to do this on your computer if you know what you're doing...just be sure to delete all the files related to a given state or chart. And yes, you can use an 8gb SD if you wish...but if you have any problems with your iFly after switching SD cards switch back to the one we provided. Sandisk is a very high quality card, and cheaper cards can cause sporadic problems.

Walter will the sd card fill up or does the files get deleated when you update new charts?

You need a couple hundred megs free to hold temp files during the update process, but the data files are overwritten with new ones so there isn't a constant usage of more space.
