Wi Fi updating on my 720 has worked like a charm since I upgraded at SNF2013. But today, I could not make it work at all.

I disconnected the home network (something I never had to do before) but it still keeps resetting/reconnecting ad infinitum. Shut the unit off for a while, still no joy. Same problem at home. It says connected, but when I go back to update, I get an error message "Unable to access iFly Servers". No internet connection either.

Help?

Further: I tried Wi Fi here in the office today, but it will not stay connected. Poking around the settings in desperation, I came across Alert Message; not knowing what that's about, I clicked Yes. It went into the screen adjustment and no amount of touching would awaken it. Pulled the plug and tried everything else, to no avail.

What now?

Well, a conversation with Ed shed light on this. We still don't know why the unit lost its settings (no reset or anything like it was done), but getting it to recognize the network again was simple: use the password / passphrase NOT the MAC address! I had completely forgotten this.

Thank you, Ed
