I set up a flight plan. KORH to KEEN. press done. Then back to flight plan and add an intermediate waypoint of KORE. Done. Shows up fine. Next back in to flight plan. I select "Direct to" I get the message asking me if it's what I want, I say yes. Then it adds a waypoint of 0.00N and 0.00E.

This happens everytime, regardless of where I set my from and to flight plan, or if I have 3 or more waypoints, selecting direct to ADDS the 0.00N and 0.00E point...... Every time...!!!!

I've also just tried picking an airport and saying fly direct to. Then on the map, add a waypoint. All works fine providing I don't hit that "Direct To" button in the flight planning screen...

And if you hit the direct to on the 0.00N 0.00E, It adds another waypoint of the same..

I have a 700 and am running the 7.0.17 update.

I am experiencing the same problem, but it occurred on Re. 7.0.16 too.

What it is SUPPOSED to be doing is taking you present position and making it a waypoint then calculating the navigation to the location you wanted go Direct To. I wonder if you can tell from the heading and distance info whether it is actually using the zero-zero coordinates in the nav calculations, or is it using your actual location (as it is supposed to) but displaying Zero-Zero in the flight plan form? ===Ralph

Thank you for reporting this bug! I have found and fixed the issue for v7.5 (date still TBA). The DirectTo uses an airplane location which does not get updated until you view the Vertical Profile. I have made it so that this position gets initialized at start up now, and also get's updated even if the Vertical Profile instrument is not showing. I'm guessing this might get patched into v7 as well.

In the current v7 public release, as well as the 7.017 beta, the "DirectTo" operation will be faulty unless the Vertical Profile instrument is showing.
