Just updated my 700 to version 7. I also downloaded the geographic databases update as per the instructions. Download successful, update successful. But, now I get a blank screen after the inital "booting-up". The unit doesn't power off, I just get a blank (black) screen. Any ideas?

Yep, my mistake! I didn't read the instructions very well, lol. I updated the aviation databases...and all is well!!

To the iFly team,

JOOC, although it's certainly easy enough to download all at the same time, why didn't you just combine them into one "Upgrade to version 7" option on the "Create Update Package" page?

My thoughts exactly. Since so many users are not downloading the new databases with new versions when required (despite Walter's great attempts to tell us when it is required), and posts today asking whether new databases are required with EVERY version update, others downloading one database but not the other, etc., why not just "bundle" software and databases together to automatically get everything you need when both are required for an update? ====Ralph
