The GPRMB sentence would be excluded if there wan't a flight plan...so hopefully this isn't a bug. Just make sure you had a flight plan.

But the ran-together text is very enlightning. There was a change to this code - and I see now different OS versions might cause slightly different behavior. Specifically, instead of forcing the carriage-return/line feed characters I switched to using the serial port's "WriteLine" method which automatically appends the crlf characters. But, it's possible the default new line characters are different on different OS systems. I've built a new version, 6.5.10, that forces the crlf. We're testing this now and will release to beta soon. WIll be released to everyone else shortly thereafter.

Thanks David!

The NMEA output from beta version 6.5.10 looks great, I feel sure it will take care of the problem with my confused D/A converter!

The speed with which you analyzed my feed back, provided advice on my oversite, analyzed my new data, recoded the software, and had the new beta version up by mid afternoon just has to be one for the record books!

Thanks for all that you and your team do and how you do it,

David

Ditto!

Gentlemen - Thank you both. I stopped at the hangar on the way home from work tonight and installed 11.5.10 on my 700. As soon as I stuck a waypoint in the GPS the HSI appeared on the EFIS exactly as it used to. I didn't even look at the settings - they remain exactly as I had in 6.5.9 when I got nothing....so I'm pretty confident we are back in business. I'll try to get a flight in later in the week and test things out thoroughly.

David - Thank you for the detective work on the <CR><LF>issue.

Walter - Just to add to David's feedback, amazing turn-around and service. The iFly and the iFly team are indeed "simply amazing".. Thank you.

Alasdair

P.S. Please keep the TTL option on the list when time permits, still hoping for a shot at getting both my EFIS and SkyRadar functioning at the same time with the 700.

Hi Walter,

Any update on the TTL cable and software to allow its use?

Thanks,

David

We're progressing. The software tweak is in Version 7, which will soon be released to beta. Are you on our beta user list? If not, please sign up for that at Support / Beta Team Request so you can get early access to version 7.

I'm still waiting on the prototype cables from my hardware provider, but expect those within the next 2 weeks. I've had them very busy with another project so that was deferred a bit.

Thanks,
Walter
