I think that is a 720.  The distingusing feature is the small very faint square sensor on the top.  I see that on my old 720, but not on the 740b.

So that's weird...  I received an email to report some nice person smarter than me had read my question and took the time to tell me they thought it was the 720. Based on the universal law of consumer electronics which stipulates the higher the model number, the better equipped and more recently released it will be when compared to those with lower numbers.

Well.... Darn. That lowers the probability that it would be the one that chicks dig, because it's yesterday's Gucci new gear. Oh well.

Is it still a capable device for someone who stopped flying 10 or 12 years ago when the uncertified tablet EFBs and flight navigation era was just a BEBE, and even then probably more like a zygote, if we like that comparison.... I do.

At the point I jumped out of the pilot's seat for that baker's dozen of years, I had inlet logged timei sitting in front of a Garmin G1000 once, and even then it was as a safety pilot. So my exposure to anything glass panel/ touchscreen UI is very limited, and of the 720 is largely seen as better used as a coaster than a navigation tool when compared to the newest cool-kid options out now, I won't realize it.

Lemme know because just like everyone here, I want to use the EFB and flight navigation tablet that will make me appear as cool as possible. Line everything in all aspects of our lives, being cool is the highest priority for every decision.

My name is BigNutz and I really hope you realize I do not support this message. Seriously though, is it worth using still, or does it rock the 8-bit Atari 2600 level graphics and functional capabilities?

Thanks!

Bn

Hey, just wanted to add that I found the missing answer. I'm on my phone and have it using the standard website format because my phone is trying to get me angry by not displaying the site correctly in mobile format. It's new, I just bought it, add despite me telling it at least 2 dozen times already, it must not believe it when I warn it that it shouldn't rely on the fact that's it's new and expensive. None of that matters when a device pushes my patience past my red line of frustrations. I will beat the screen on whatever hard surface or steering wheel and turn it into one of those neat-o new folding phones, only a little different. I know, who let the spaz in? Well, before you critize my inability and unwillingness to keep my frustrations under control, you should know that it's a cognitive characteristic which is connected to the fact that I was born with orange clown hair and speciles all over my.... well.... everywhere. So yeah, the unavoidable and potent ginger-rage most people have observed and walk away from. Otherwise I'm a swell fella and I have an incredibly infinite amount of patience for other people, to a fault. So, I'll forgive you for your character flaws, like that whole farting in elevators thing (that absolutely WILL resonate with someone somewhere, trust me).

Good talk, I feel like we pushed through some very uncomfortable interpersonal relationship challenges today, I know, I'm excited to be friends with all of your too!
