I created an update package but I cannot get it working. When I try to select for updates, I get "The USB Flash Drive has not been detected. Make sure the drive is fully inserted into the USB port, or try using a different flash drive."

I must have reseated the flash drive about ten times. I have ver. 4.09. Otherwise, the unit boots up just fine.

Happened to me once. Did you try to insert the drive into the unit BEFORE booting it up? That's what worked for me.

Thank you!!!! Your third suggestion seemed to do the trick; inserted the flashdrive prior to hitting the menu button and this time it worked.

As an aside I discovered that the iFjy is smart enough to recognize more than one update package on the USB drive and they can be loaded individually one after another. That way you can break down your updates into smaller packages (sub 2Gb each). The update files will be called iflyupdatepackage.zip, iflyupdatepackage(1).zip, iflyupdatepackage(2).zip etc... Then each can beloaded individually without the intermediate step of transferring each update to the USB drive and making sure it is renamed to "iflyupdatepackage.zip". The other numbered names work good as they are and can coexist on the USB drive happily until the iFly uploads them before erasing them off the external USB device.
