Has anyone successfully paired theIr Skyradar L with the iFly app on a wifi only iPad 4? That is, are you getting both ADSB and GPS data from the Skyradar? Does the app support both the Skyradar L and an external GPS. I seem to be getting the ADSB, but get the message "no GPS lock". Wondering if I need to add the external GPS, e.g. The Dual XGPS 150A or 160.

Kenneth,

I've not tried that, but I can think of no reason you couldn't have a bluetooth GPS and a wifi ADSB connected to your iPad at the same time.

However you might try and dig a little further into your Skyradar issue. That unit should be just fine as your GPS source.

Thanks,
Walter

Thanks, Walter. I wil do so. I thought I read somewhere in the forums that the Skyradar L would not communicate the GPS data to the iFly app. I do get the ADSB data to my 720.

reread connecting the iFlyGPS app and Skyradar. Immediately connected and received the GPS and ADSB clearly. No drops on a flight from the Outer Banks to east Tennessee. Great product.
