Thanks for bringing the FORUM back - I was deeply disappointed to see it gone earlier this week.

I did try to see the Fb page - I am not on Fb but had to borrow someone's to go see it. Much less capable, organized and focused than this. In short, I was not planning on going back to that page. It was not useful to me at all.

I know this costs time and money, but THIS is the reason I don't shop around for other EFB's -- I know I can come here to ask questions, learn more about the iFly product and read other good, useful posts from PILOTS.  PILOTS help this product get better and better, and the staff at iFly actually listens to us, unlike other aviaion products that just "sell" to us.

This is not an IT site, it is an AVIATION site - thanks for staying with the PRIMARY MAIN MISSION of the company - helping pilots fly safer and better through a great, affordable and innovative EFB.  Thanks - PLEASE keep the fourm OPEN! That is what makes iFly unique!

Pretty sure there's been no change to the forum since AP announced ~a month ago that they're no longer linking to it from the main iFly webpage.  It's not going away, per se...those who know the URL can continue to navigate to the forum, but anyone who doesn't know it exists or can't remember the URL for it won't be able to find it.  So it will wither and die, which is a shame.  (It pretty much already has.)

Mike, I too wish the forum was continuing , but sadly think Cobra was right ---it's over and I fear the loss will impact Adventure Pilots  future.

I continue to say THE MAIN SELLING POINT ON IFLY FOR ME AND MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS IS THIS FORUM.

Many companies will sell you a product, but this FORUM helped me LEARN about how to really use the EFB and learn from other pilots like you Gents! That is invaluable! It keeps me coming back and buying more and more years of subscriptions...

This is the best knowledge management forum of any navigation device or really any aviation product I ever purchased - thanks to men and women like you.

I consider this FORUM very valuable to me...and so sorry to hear it may wither and die now that it is no longer advertised and new people can't find it - that was clever.

So, for the record - since I started subscribing to iFly...

1. We cancelled the Adventure Pilot Site that was superb in telling pilots about airports and things to do on and around them - there is nothing quite like it anywhere elese. The promise as it would come back later, and never did.

2. There was a pilot forum where people provided testimonials and stories about themselves and flying adventures - that is gone now as well.

3. This FORUM is being slowly atrophied as well, until it too, shuts down.

Again, the shift seems to be away from aviation and simply to IT and marketing. I know and fully understand every business has to run on PROFIT.  I also know successful businesses do not lose sight of their primary mission and customer base - in this case - PILOTS.  The BETA group alone - who test and validate updates on REAL AIRPLANES is worth its' weight in gold - and more than makes up for any time/money spent to keep the FORUM active and going.

Thanks for listening, you few - you loyal few!

Regards, Mike Marra

Another call to keep the forum open.

And to publish the link to it.

Facebook cannnot replace a forum like this (for many reasons) - it is unsearchable!

This forum may only be an active "hangout" for a handful of iFly customers; but it is a valuable, irreplaceable resource for ALL iFly customers.
