Don't know how I missed this post " Forum Link in web menus is missing  " but if all but beta testing forum support is going away to either FB or direct email it sure feels like iFly has decided that the collective wisdom garnered over the years is essentially worthless.

Many, if not most questions posted on the forums are quickly and correctly answered by other iFy users - and it will be everyone's loss to not continue this in the future.

Frankly  I don't understand why iFly would want to keep support questions hidden away from the general user base.  Seems like a strange way to provide support - and is likely to bombard iFly with an increased workload dealing with each individual help ticket as opposed to getting the answer out on the forum where all users can find it.

Several of us have wondered the same thing.  I can only imagine that FB is a more desireable place to air problems, attempt solutions, and accomodate a vast majority.all of their customers, other than us few that are not smitten my FB.

Yes it's a lot more accessible to a lot more folks that way, especially on mobile devices. beta forum isn't going away, though.

So us non-beta and non-facebook users are out of luck? Dropped into a blck hole?

I'm not terribly proficient in FB.  Is there a way to search the posts to see if someone has had a similar problem (solved) to what I'm now experiencing?  Is there a way to reference that search to a user having an already discussed and answered problem?  As I recall it can, and has been done, on this forum a number of times.  Someone will ask a question that has a potentially involved answer, and someone will post a link to a discussion that took place days/weeks/months/years prior.

I just looked at this site on my iPhone SE, a relatively small screen, and didn't notice that this forum would be significantly unusable.

I can understand a presence on FB, but this forum seems far superior for users/customers to ask questions and be able to find that question and the subsequent responses in a simple manner.

Oh well, I guess this is progress...
