Probably aswered before but....Evertime I start up, I have to manually back out of iFly GPS, so into settings, find my Ping # (echoUAT), connect to it and then go back into IFly GPS.  Obviously, I want the IFly to connect automatically.  Is there a setting I'm missing?  Thanks

I don't know if the 740 is the same, but I have always had trouble going back and forth between my home wifi and my Stratux wifi in the plane.  The problem had to do with the 720 not being smart enough to realize a network was out of range, and still trying to connect to it instead of other known networks that *were* in range.  I eventually decided the hassles outweighed the minor benefit of being able to use the 720 on my home wifi, and I deleted all the stored wifi networks except for Stratux.

I have not had any problems connecting my 720 to the Stratux since doing that.  Since I use the iFly Connect software to update the 720's SD card on my Windows laptop, I don't really miss home wifi access from the 720.

cobra has the right idea... do you have it linked to any other networks? Have you tried to leave it in your airplane then come back and reconnect? This sounds suspiciously like you have other networks it was authenticated to

Mine is kept in the plane. It connects to the Pingxxxx network of my echo automatically when I start up. I don't update database by WiFi I have two SD cards so I removed all other WiFi networks from the 740b. Hope that helps - if nothing else I can confirm it can connect automatically. My 740 and echo are on the same avionics switch so they power on at the same time. What's your power up sequence is the Echo powered on before, at the same time as or after your 740?

My 740b will auto connect to the Pingxxx network every time. I think the secret is to remove any networks you have PREviously connected to and be sure there are not ( other than Pingxxx) any listed as PRE . The few times it didn't connect auto to Ping was when there were other "PRE" networks on that list .
