Just installed a L3 Lynx NGT-9000. Still testing but initially I notice two things. First flight I connected to the Lynx WiFi. The data stream started immediately. Then I noticed it was still connected to Stratux so I changed it to Lynx by L3. It would not connect so I changed it back to Stratux and it connected immediately. What's up?

The second thing is the traffic tail numbers were off and on again. Perhaps because it was connected to Stratux not Lynx.

Any thoughts?

Stephen,

The iFly device will recognize 1 ADS-B device at a time. Depending on which one you would like to connect to you need to go in and chang your WIFI settings and connect to that device. Then go into iFly and chage the selected ADS-B device in the Setup page to Auto-Detect.

I fully understand SSID. It is one WiFi at a time. I just spent 8 hours playing with the NGT-900 L3 Lynx and Stratux. When the L3 is set as the ADS-B device it will not connect to any of my Android tablets. They do connect when set to Auto-Detect or Stratux/Flight box.

When connected to the Stratux iFlyGPS will show acknowledge recieving WAAS but the L3 will not. Yes, the L3 is a TSO'd WAAS unit. I called L3 and they said the L3 does output WAAS data. It seems logical that iFLy is not accepting gps data from the L3. However, in 8 hours it never occured to me to disable the Tablet GPS. I will have to do that this weekend.

The problem is between your L3 and tablet. Resolve that and iFly will then connect properly.

I am sure the WiFi connection is not the problem. The same thing happens to both 7" Samsung Tab 4 and a 10" Tab 2. Or did you have a specific reason for your suggestion?
