The Keystone Flight flies again!

Went up-river (the mighty Susquehanna) flying the contours to Penn Valley Aviation at Selingsgrove, PA.  This time a 5-ship formation of an Ercoupe, 2 x Skyhawks, a Sky Catcher, and my 150 Commuter...leisurely flight with a lot of neat scenery!

They had a wonderful bricked in porch area for us! Order a couple of pizza pies, tipped the guy really well and sat there enjoy the mountain views and judging landings!

Great time flying during the PANDEMIC...doing it safely and with masks, precautions, cleaning, etc. It can be done. We are all "at risk" in some way, but flying is also a way to stay MENTALLY healthy!

We continue to fly carefully - as this is a good time to be out, when no one else is!

Some PRACATICE ILS to 08 Lancaster, PA and then some chow...

Big thanks to iFly and STRATUX for enabling this to go so safely!

ILS at Lancaster on a busy day...for them.

Just about to flare...

Great iFly ground diagrams really help! Big thanks!

Oh Yeah! Time for the CRAB CAKE SAMMICH'!  We fly hundreds of miles for CRAB CAKE!

Well, they just SHUT DOWN historic THREE MILE ISLAND!  We used to fly through the steam for a good cleaning!

It was also the BEST windsock in the region...gone for good! Will take 70 years to do the cleanup!

Here we are flying over an airliner landing at the Harrisburg INTL Airport....

HOME DROME! Another good day of flyin'!

Greetings Folks,

Well, another week in "health condition YELLOW" for us, so another time for flying to a place where we could get some good flying, chow and scenery while staying safe!

This time it was West Virginia - Cumberland Regional (KCBE) right there on the edge of MD, PA adn VA...nice location for scenery!

There airport has an "on the field cafe" called THE HUMMINGBIRD that is really outstanding - taxi right up to it!

We took a three-ship this time, and there were plenty of other aircraft there from the DC area, VA, PA, MD, NY, WV, and OH.

Good place to get away and have a great lunch! Highly recommended!

One of the things we are doing during the virus pandemic is find interesting things to go fly to and see from the air...

There is a major bridge project going in near us -- it's about $100,000,000 for this bridge and associated highways - fascinating to watch the progress!

The bridge is just north of Selingsgrove, PA. It is not far from the Penn Valley Airport and Sunbury Aerodrome. (If you are not from PA, this is about 50 miles north of Harrisburg, the capitol city.

We marvel at the engineering and construction of such a monumental task and appreciate all the great Americans who are part of the planning, designing, engineering, and construction - simply remarkable!  This bridge will still be in use 100+ years from now...amazing.
