Interesting perspective in that photo: the runway looks highest in the middle. Are all landings downhill and all takeoffs uphill?  Or...?

Don, it's whatever one you think is best as the PIC! In my underpowered 150 with two pilots, it's almost ALWAYS depart downhill if I have the option!

At Frederick, MD and asked by Ground to please "taxi, take-off and depart" as a formation" which was not our plan, but we did it. Made sense as the airport was crazy busy and he was trying to minimize radio chatter.

Then got a 5 turn clearance which included crossing an active runway with a FIVE ship formation.

Sure glad I had the iFly geo-referenced airport diagram! Saved me again! Thanks iFly!
