Has the WXWorx (XM) weather receiver compatibility been dropped as a future update? I'm not in a big hurry to jump over to ADS-B since I think hardware development is only now starting to become tempting. I would love to use my bluetooth XM unit on the 720. Does the ifly have a bluetooth stack that would support a receiver plugged into the USB port? I can't imagine that the XM datastream is much more complicated than ADS-B weather, but maybe it is something proprietary and unpublished?

XM is still on the wishlist, but we've not committed this feature to a particular release. The iFly does not support bluetooth so if/when this is added you'll need a plug, or a wifi enabled XM device. But, ADSB might be further along than you think. There are numerous tried and true receivers out there, and many more coming. Almost all support wireless via wifi, which the 720 does support. And the cost for these units is down in the $500's, so the ROI over XM happens very quickly.

Thanks,
Walter

I just noticed that the Sagetech website now shows shipment of the Clarity around March 29, 2013..... Would love to hold out for it, but it's going to be hard to go without my in-flight weather for that long.......

yeah, I just noticed the same thing.... I was looking forward to the release at the end of Sept as originally promised....

I'm looking again at the Levil product who promised to have ads-b by the end of Sept but I don't see anything on their website that indicates they are going to meet their goal either....just called their number in Fla, got no answer
