First off I just want to say that I love my new iFly720, I've flown with a 396 and iPad, I think for the money this is the best option.

Now for my problem, I have an original Skyradar ADS-B reciever I bought a year ago and it works great with my iPad. I was flying with my new iFly 720 and I kept receiving traffic alerts triggered by my own airplane, I can see the target under my airplane's symbol on the display. I could inhibit traffic warnings, but I'd lose an important feature? Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks

Tom

I also have the 720 and original Skyradar receiver. I've never encountered what you are experiencing here in the north east. Perhaps it's a glitch with ADS-B itself?

I first noticed this on my iPad, I could see my own airplane being reported back to me, this makes sense because I'm only ADS-B IN, this is the picture a nearby ADS-B fully equipped airplane is seeing. We have a flight school nearby in Prescott, their entire fleet has ADS-B. My Skyradar app does not have an alarm, it just shows where the traffic is when available. I would think the software would have to somehow filter out the host airplane, maybe by GS and direction and that the target popped up out of no where.

My 700 does the same thing, When we were in Alaska last week, all the planes up there have the Capstone units installed so we got lots of hits, but my plane always showed up at my 6 o"clock position. The first time it happened, I thought someone was right on my tail.

Did you end up inhibiting traffic alerts? I hope AP can solve this, maybe a setting to allow flights? It would be a nice feature to shut off targets traveling in the same direction and speed when flying in a group.
