I've been using the stock suction cup mount.

It's flexible and gets the iFly several inches away from my panel, which is what I need, however, the suction cup does occasionally release when I don't want it to release.

So I'm looking to replace the suction cup mount with one that provides the same flexibility for Ifly positioning, yet has a permanent (non-suction cup) type attachment to my panel.

Any suggestions?

I searched the RAM web site without success.

Roger,

Question, are you attaching the iFly to a Plexiglas window. Something you might try is to find a smooth surface, mylar tap, wide clear tap and attach the suction cup to that. Plexigalss is porous and especially so if it is crazed the slightest bit. I wouldn't overlap tape or anything as that will provide an out or leak for the air.

Maybe double side or permanently stick a piece of round glass for a mount. I have not heard of the suction cup letting go of glass. It would be a great experiment non the less.

I'm attaching the suction mount to the panel...it is quite smooth and painted. It helps to clean both the suction cup and the panel, but it's not as secure as a permanent attachment.

Thanks Ed. That looks like it will be just right.
