If we have successfully installed ver. 7.0.16, do we still need to download the Aviation and Geographic databases to update the software to the latest versions as they come out?

Great Question Tom, I was wondering the same thing! If we need to install these for a software revision, maybe AP could add a note to the update page.

When a new software version requires new databases I think the best approach would be for AP to bundle the software and databases into one single "VERSION Update" that delivers everything that is required in one package. That would preclude a lot of confusion, in my opinion. If the required database updates were "pushed" to users, then it would be easy for owners to monitor when additional database updates are available. Pilots are intelligent people, for the most part, and they ought to be able to compare the dates of the databases in their units with the dates on the update site to see if new ones are available. Or use iFly Connect which does the comparison automatically. ===Ralph
