Is there info on the 740's audio output circuit impedance? I finally got around to plugging my 740's AUX output into the intercom (600 ohm input impedance), and it worked. Unfortunately, it reduced the volume of the other three devices also plugged into the intercom to the point that I had to unplug the 740 audio in order to hear the others. All four inputs have a 500 ohm resistor in series, and the other three devices play nice together. I'd like to hear the 740, too, but need advice on how best to keep it from damping the other inputs.

Just checking to be sure that  36 π (pi) should be  36 Ω  (omega) on page 29 of the 740 Extra Features Manual

If that's so, then:

--the manual needs correcting:  Change pi to omega, or write out "Ohms."

--and I need assurance that the 740's audio output impedance really is 36 Ohms. (36 Ohms seems an unusual impedance for an audio output circuit.)

Thanks for reporting this, it's on our to do list for the next release of the manual.

So, is the impedance really 36 Ohms?  That's what I'm mainly interested in, as I have a serious impedance mis-match between the iFly 740 and the other three audio sources I'm putting into the intercom.

Hi Don,

Honestly this is the first time in all these years I've been asked this question.  The doc is specifying the Ohms of the speaker, so this is not necessarially the output impedance.  I've submitted your question to our hardware team, will let you know what I learn.
