trying to download to usb for my 720 Download speed is 107 kb a second its gonna take 1 hour and 57 minutes .The slow speed is definitely not on my end . I know there are other options, but to travel to my plane unmouns the unit to remove the sd card and travel home to ifly connect is not a good option for me . Nor is there wireless at my field .

This is a repeat occurrence with downloading to usb and needs to be addressed .

Chas - I download to my laptop computer. I have a folder named 'iFly'. In that folder I have folders named 'Geo Data', 'Airport Diagrams', 'Sectionals', 'TAC', 'Software', 'Weather',etc. I select each download package separately and save it to its folder. Then I copy each separate package onto my USB and use that to load my iFly 700. I require data for all 48 states. It takes about 20 minutes each month to keep my iFly 700 up to date. - Jim Williams P.S. - Yes, I know about iFly Connect. I just don't like taking my SD card in and out a lot.

thanks for the reply ...no matter how I download the data the usb download method crawls . I too prefer not to remove and reinsert the card . There appears to be an issue with there download server .

Today I flew with expired data and charts because I had plans to meet someone and the download took forever .

I've reported this to Walter and he can check out the server performance. Also, I do beleive there are some upgrades coming to the USB method. Thanks for your feedback.

Chas and others experiencing slow usb downloads,

As of today, we've not been able to replicate this internally, so we would like to compile some information from those experiencing this slow download to usb method. We are trying to identify a pattern with this. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

What is your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

If you can run a speed test with "speedtest.net, what is your download speed?
