Sent thi issue directly to support also, but putting it out here in case someone else encounters this.
.....................

Hi.

Replaced our 720 with a new 740 about a week or two ago.
I like it. Love the brightness.

Added to the on-screen instruments mileage to next way point and ETA to next way point.

ETA to play point gets stuck even while miles continues to function.
Flooring yesterday was 39 miles north of Bandan Oregon ETA about 17 minutes, the miles continue to throw up ETA stayed stuck at same number of minutes.

When this is happened I tried turning off the Ifly waiting about 10 seconds and rebooting.....by disconnecting from power and selecting the shutdown immediately choice.
When it came back on ETA was still stuck.
Have tried that workaround more than once.

Don't have in front of me so don't know software version. But can say it was currents as a morning of 20 soon as that is when I did last update before the trip.

Do I have a defective unit or is this a known software bug? Or?

I suspect there is a softwre bug. I'll see if we can duplicate it in the office. In the meantime, please work with our support team as they will contact you shortly, if they have not already.

If you can zip and send us the "#Log" folder via email @ support@adventurepilot.com, that will give Brian and Walter some details to look further into. I've reported this to Brian as well.

Please confirm that you are talking about ETA and not ETE. The ETA is not a defaulted instrument, so you would have had to add this one.

The ETA would not change much unless the closure rate changed, it could appear to be stuck. Try turning 45 degrees and seeing if the ETA increases. ETA is the Estimated Clock Time of Arrival, ETE is the Estimated Time Enroute. If it is shows 00:14 for the ETA, that is 12:14 after midnight. You might look at your Time Zone. The ETE would continue to count down as you approach your point.

Turns out it was a case of SOFTWARE ERROR TYPE -- UFB* .

Yup... I had ETA as an instrument/readout when what I MEANT to have was ETE. 😨

No worries, glad it's all working. That does bring a point that the Time Zone can affect how it displays and might look like minutes too a point, unless you really are arriving around Midnight. Glad this helped.
