Guys,

I just received my 720 the other day and it seems pretty easy to use except my unit does not want to connect to WIFI sites that have a network key or password. It didn't come with a manual so I guess I am pretty much on my own. I also find that when I download an update onto a USB stick and put it in and ask it to update, I get a message saying that it is " unable to download account information and to ensure Iam connected to the internet". Did I buy a brick??

Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jim

Jim, on the main system menu touch the Setup button on the top/left area of the screen, then touch the button with the WiFi symbol (bottom of the list), select your network, and enter the key. (Note the key is case sensitive).

The update app will work with wifi or with a USB stick. Sounds like the stick you were using either wasn't compatible, or the update package was not properly copied to the stick. You can call our support desk for more help if needed 1-888-200-5129.

Thanks,

Walter

Hi Walter,

I was able to determine that my USB was not compatible.(damn cheap Chinese crap). However I have not been able to connect to two protected networks using the method you described. I tried both lower and upper case without success. It's frustratinf because this is the one feature that swaywed me to your product. I am in Costa Rica this week and don't have the GPS with me. I will call on Friday.

Thanks,

Jim Mantyla
