Use w/o subscription?

My subscription expired yesterday, and I'm not going to be flying any long trips in the next 2 months, so I wanted to wait to start the clock again but today I wanted to do a quick flight and it shut down aftert 10 minutes. Is there a way to use it with the database that is currently installed, without having to get a subscription? I really just wanted it for traffic alerts, I know my local area well enough. Like my 430W will continue to work if the data card is expired.

Adventure Pilot is a business, and their business model (for tablets) is to charge for the data, not the software. But that means that if you don't buy the data, then you don't get to use the software. (If you buy a hardware iFly device, then it will continue to operate with expired data, like the Garmin hardware you bought.)
