My second Samsung tab s2 bit the dust - and I've moved on, but in the process created a unforseen problem.  I have (and had) 4 devices connected to my iFly account.  Two tab's, one phone, one windows pc.  In order to register the new tabwith iFly I had to remove the old one - and hence the problem.  My old tab's instrument layout disappeared when I removed it from my account.  I was able to download the flight trails/history from the server, but not the layout.

I tried firing up the Samsung POS, but the app is no longer available on it, hence do way to replicate the layout from comparing screens.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Edit:  Whoops, disregard.  I though you had a license conflict, then realized you were talking about lost shared data.  I don't have a suggestion for that.

Maybe you could delete your new device and reinstall the old one. Then, restore the information and export the instrument layout. Then, delete the old device and install the new device and download the instrument layout.

Mark,

There's a lot of things going on in the background trying to get layouts to transfer between screen resolutions, aspect ratios, sizes, etc.. We took a look at your devices and didn't see an obvious cause so we'll have to dig deeper into what's going on. You'll probably have to re-create the layout in the interim. Thank you for pointing this out though, engaged pilots is a huge part of how we improve iFly.

Mark, I support Shaun's response.  The "instrument layouts" part of the shared data has nuances, in that each layout is catered to a specific screen size and orientation.   We even have "portrait" vs "portrait short" to differentiate tall devices from ones that are more squarish (less elongated).   I'm guessing that your new device is of a different size and/or aspect ratio, which crosses some boundary that we've defined.

Can you tell me the exact make/models of both devices?  (so that I can look up the screen specs and assess what iFly is doing here)
