Was working when I left for Idaho June 8th, but now all I get is the IFLY logo and then it freezes.

What happened?

HAVE REBOOTED and uninstalled, but no luck.

Has anything changed?

My phone did an android update yesterday and is locked in a loop at an opening screen.  Did your LG do any android updates?

John,

Sorry you are having this problem.  If you are using an external SD card you might try removing that and see if the issue clears up.  And when you reinstalled iFly, did it walk you through the startup questions and re-download data?  Or did it lock up there too?

After you uninstall, please make sure you get the latest release from Google Play Store, to install.   There was an interim release of 10.0 which had a lock-up issue; it's possible that you might be installing this interim release.

After shutting down the tablet and then restarting a couple times and then uninstalling IFLY and having to completely set it all up again with all the necessary charts and flight plans, instrument settings, etc. I finally got it to work. Luclily I could switch to my Samsung phone and all was working well there. I had to set up everything again on the tablet when I landed.

I know there must be a way to uninstall then reinstall  without having to download aircraft info and all charts and settings. Probably with everything saved to the cloud? Or when uninstalling it if it could leave all the settings on my SD card.

Also: I discovered a couple more handy tricks that I am continually discovering by chance, since there is no comprehensive manual.

A) If you just tap and hold your finger on the screen all the instruments disappear as long as you hold it so you can see more of the  screen real estate.

B) When you get the information box on a target or airport you can put your finger on the box and move it to a more desirable spot on the screen.
