Ok - I'm sure I'm missing something here....I use the "set flight altitude" feature on just about every flight (we're based out of KCNY, Canyonlands, UT for the time being) and for some reason I can't seem to get the Android iFly app to set different alitudes for each waypoint in my flight path.

I'm running the latest iFly v9.3.26 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, non rooted.

My scenario - I create a flight plan. I open the options to set flight altitude. I select "enable multiple flight altitudes" and then select "Map View" so I can see the impact (sorry for the pun) of my intended altitude setting. It seems that I can really only select one altitude for the entire flight, rather than being able to select an individual leg between waypoints to alter the expected altitude for that specific leg. If I select map view and try to alter my altitude setting, it changes the altitude for the entire flight, not just for one leg.

What am I doing wrong?

Awesome app - it's obviously smarter than I am these days!

Before your select map view, use the Prev and Next button to choose the segment you want to raise or lower.

Mark, you found a bug, with a work around. The issue is that we have logic which sees that you have only one altitude and so are resetting it back to "single altitude" automatically. This is a bug that will be fixed in 9.4.

For now, you can work around it by first selecting your leg in the Vertical Profile (via "Next" button), and then setting a different altitude for this leg, so that we don't turn it back into a "single altitude". This'll be fixed for 9.4.

Also, while on the map mode, you can set separate altitudes here too by just tapping on the waypoint you want to alter, and then tapping the Raise/Lower buttons to customize the waypoint altitude you just tapped.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried the map view workaround you described. Here's my results:

I opened <Set Flight Altitude> and select <Enable Multiple Flight Altitudes>, then select map view. I can then (carefully, a missed press here brings up the QV box) select a waypoint and modify the altitude. After changing two waypoints, I cannot select anymore waypoints no matter how carefully I press, the QV box always pops up - which cancels the Set Altitude mode altogether. I also tried just altering the flight altitude for only two waypoints, but once I click on the <Done> button, the primary <Set Flight Altitude> box reappears with non of the changes saved.

I'd like to suggest a feature improvement here: add a "Next Segment" button to the Map View box that highlights a particular leg of the flight segment so that the user can clearly determine the segment leg and the results of modifying flight altitudes on that particular leg.

Thanks again,

Mark
