Sorry gents, my email didn't show that I got a response from the forum. I'll go in a tweak my settings. Ok, so I'm sold. I wanted a dedicated gps that looks like a sectional...and this is it. The plane I'm looking at getting is a RV9A with a digiflight trutrack 200 a/p with pitch as steering servo's. It's coupled to a bendix king kln-89B IFR gps and is working...however i wanted the map feature and not just somewhat blank screen with some digits and a cross for a plane flying along. I've been told...I can couple the iFly to this a/p. I think this is a pretty wise choice to go with this unit. Now I'm up against if I should go for the battery..... Thx, DM

Forgot to ask, does the 720 have an overlay of the runway, like when you come in for a landing?

Talked with Shane today, for may 30 minutes...hehe I told my wife you said Happy Birthday! I just wanted to tell you folks, I was considering somethng like the anywhere map, due to the fact that my wife just got a Ipad for her birthday. When I called anywhere map to ask them some basic questions about their product, the gal had to put me on hold twice, to find out the answer, and once I was disconnected. This made the decision for me, (and that the iFly is a "dedicated gps") to go with the iFly, when I get closer to picking up my plane. Keep the iPad AGL (at ground level) where they're intended to be...DM

DM: Congratulations! You made the right choice buying an iFly 720. If you subscribe to the Anywhere Map web site for news, you will see they have a lot of "sales of reconditioned units" - most of my friends who purchases Anywhere Map ended up returning them before the warranty ran out - in-operative, freezing up, and no customer support. These are re-sold as "reconditioned" and they have them in quantities large enough to hold special sales. The iFly is hands down the very best unit on the market. You won't regret it. Think of it as the "RV" of GPS's. ===Ralph

Customer service and tech support are fantastic. I deal with a lot of vendors from various fields and I can think of NO ONE who goes to this level to meet customer needs and requests. If it takes five minutes of five hours they will solve the problem. And the units perform as advertised. You will enjoy the unit....and that is guaranteed also.
