Is there a way to turn Realview off temporarily?  The Manual says the switch is in the EFIS settings (online, v11, page 24), but it doesn't appear in my iPhone (v. 11.1.33). However it IS there in the windows version (11.1.17) that I have.

I need to do it only on the iPhone--unless there's a way to get a flight track from there to the windows machine

On the iPhone:  Menu > Setup > Sync Devices > Upload files to Server..., then make sure "Flight Trails" is checked and click "Upload"

On the Windows machine:  Menu > Setup > Sync Devices > (select iPhone from list), then make sure "Flight Trails" is checked and click "Download".

Well!  That was impressive. Unfortunately, I was too dumb to comprehend that "Show Realviews" in the EFIS menu means that if you uncheck it you don't see Realviews in the EFIS view. Du-u-uh. I wanted to hide a Realview on the Map view--so I could zoom way in and see only what's on the sectional chart.

Fun fooing with it, though.

Even at the last zoom level before iFly overlays the RealView, the sectional is getting zoomed beyond it's native resolution so it's starting to pixellate slightly.  But one thing you can try if you really want to go farther (it works on Android; dunno if iOS is different):  Use the +/- buttons to zoom to the tightest zoom level that doesn't include RealView.  Then, use your fingers to pinch-zoom closer.  As long as you maintain the pinch-zoom, you'll see the even-more-zoomed-in sectional without the RV overlay...the RV won't appear until you lift your fingers.

But it'll just be the same resolution, only with bigger pixels.  If your vision is good enough to pass a Class III physical, I don't think you're going to see anything more using that technique than what you can see at the last zoom level before the RV shows up.
