I found I only had the sectionals and TAC charts downloaded and not the WAC charts. I guess I was zooming out just enough whilst connected to ADS-B wifi device that it was trying to load the WAC chart. I downloaded the WAC charts and maps are all loading now when in airplane mode no matter how much I zoom in or out. Thanks for the tip!
I like that Airplane Mode check for downloaded maps. Excellent idea.
