HERE is my course line for my upcoming trip to TANGIER ISLAND in VA for CRAB CAKE and to scout out some construction jobs for a mission trip this summer!

Traffic flying overhead towards the west as I am heading SOUTH.

Not exactly sure what you mean by this, but first off, the speed/alt/VS tapes disappear when you are panning around, so hit the little cross hairs in the lower left.

In order to add instruments, you do it the same way you add instruments to the normal/map view.  Setup>Customize Instruments>Add Instrument> Then add whatever instruments you want to add.  Then save it as whatever you choose to  name it.  Be aware that the instruments you add will only appear in the Full Screen EFIS, and only in that orientation.  If you go to split screen, the instruments you added here will disappear.

OK, I think you addressed my comment - thank you! I was wanting some of the navigation tiles (ETA, Speed, AGL, bearing, Xtrack, etc.) on the SV page in split screen but that is ok...I can live without them!  No big deal.  There is enough there on the heading tape across the top and information on the tapes left and right for me to fly JUST FINE without any additional changes!

It does look like SOME of the tiles are present at the bottom of split screen SV...a timer is one of them, though that is not one of my usual tiles. Interesting.  Again, I am going to have fun figuring this out. I've been waiting for SV for at least 10 years!

Like so many things here, these are preferences but certainly not requirements! I can live with it! I love the new IFLY SV!

Thanks, Mike N714AJ, Carlisle, PA

The SV is a very nice feature on the 740.  What a great job by the programmers. Is it possible to have a full screen SV on the 740?  If so, what are the key pushes for full screen SV?

I live in the mountains of southern California and the SV is very helpful.

I might mention, when you are installing SV on the 740 you need to download the latest terrain and geo database also to get SV to work besides having the ADHAR on the Stratux.

Great time flying the IFLY with AHRS and Synthetic Vision this last weekend...brilliant results!

I cannot think of any improvements except for one....

It is tough to see BLACK towers against a BLUE sky on the synthetic vision in any mode.

I was taking off from an airport that has high terrain on one side and, you guessed it, the ATC controller asked me to turn that way, into the rising terrain...ok, but..there were towers on top of the terrain. I KNEW they were there from chart study ahead of time, but they were HARD TO SEE on the SV.

We may want to consider providing MORE CONTRAST with towers, like make them white or silver - just an idea - see what everyone else thinks....I have a lot of towers and now wind turbines in my area...I just have to be very careful at a lot of the small turf fields with these rising obstructions...

LEFT Bank, reality...

Haze ahead, and mountains behind them - reality...

And with Synthetic Vision....the mountains are at my level...
