thanks for the prompt and informative response; I'll be contacting NavCan ...again...and pass on my 'encouragement' that they get their head out of the ....clouds,.... and release the data that's needed by thousands of pilots, not just the few that traverse the continent.

...of course, we've been trying to get them to do the same with the CFS for 30 years.!!!

Wish us both luck!

How about the new Jeppesen VFR charts? They are much cleaner (I bought one at Oshkosh last year) and they just released subscriptions at a very reasonable rate. Don't know if they did Canada?

Bob,

Yep, something we are also looking into. We've been talking with Jeppesen too, but they are proud of there data as well. We are trying to offer the Canadian and International data without having to charge what others are. When you buy the data from Jepp, it just adds one more hand in the pot. We are getting close.

Just another thought.... Jeppesen might become more attractive if the govt. tries to balance the budget with new sectional charges. Plus, I think they are far easier to view. One man's opinion.

PS: I for one would be willing to pay a premium for the Jepps.

Robert...I can't say I've ever SEEN a Jepp chart. You look like a mostly VFR kinda guy, so where do you get em? what scale and info? frankly I'll believe that anything has to be better than the current 1940's VNC style, ( with VOR airways, constellations & phases of the moon etc) :).
