I'm running the latest firmware and database on my iFly 720. My own private grass airstrip, TN66, is depicted on all the appropriate maps. Today I was going to fly over to Chilhowee Gliderport (Benton, Tennessee) so I went to "Flight Plan" and set my strip, TN66, as the origin and the iFly 720 promptly pulled that up. When I went to input the waypoint/destination of the Gliderport, it could not find it in the database either by its identifier (92A) or by spelling it out (Chilhowee). I finally "tricked" the iFly by scrolling to Chilhowee on the sectional, designating "Fly to here", and then I could switch back to my preferred ADSB weather/vector map and the course-line was depicted. Are Gliderports not in the database??? John

John,

Good question. I'm digging into this. I suspect that we are filtering them like with heliports. However, I've made a case and request to add both of these. Then to have some preference filtering. I'll report back shortly with my findings. Have a great Labor Day weekend.

Thanks! Gliderports should definitely be available in the database as it is not unusual to fly (with an engine! Ha!) to a gliderport for a day of soaring and of course every grass strip is a potential emergency landing site!

This is what I found out.

Gliderports and Ultralight Airparks are in the database. However our latest V8 update excluded those from showing in the system. They have been added back in and will be showing up shortly. Keep an eye out for the Aviation Database to show up on an upcoming update. Thanks for the feedback and reporting this to us.
