Looking for some help here:  My homebuilt Stratux Pi died, so I replaced the entire unit with a prebuilt from CrewDog.  My older Stratux had the ver 1.1 AHRS module and it worked quite well.  The new Stratux with the ver 2.0 AHRS can be calibrated for straight and level flight, but it quickly begins to show a turn and/or a change in attitude.  CrewDog sent me a replacement AHRS board and I have downloaded and flashed the latest Stratux build to two different SD cards with no improvement.

FWIW, the older ver 1.1 AHRS still works just fine.  Any have any luck in getting the newer AHRS boards to work?  I've posted on the Stratux reddit forum but have yet to receive any suggestions that I haven't already tried.

I don't know about the differences between AHRS 1.1 and 2.0, but I had a similar issue when I first added an AHRS board to my homebuilt Stratux in 2018.  These instructions from Chris Young (Stratux developer) resolved my issue:

There are calibration values that are measured from the gyro when the unit is first started up. If the unit was moved during this first-start routine, it could potentially cause this issue. If you still have the chip that exhibited this problem, try plugging it in, setting it level, and then go to the "Settings" menu and "Calibrate Gyros". This is a different function from the "Reset/Level" function on the GPS/AHRS menu. I'd be curious to know if the unit calibrates correctly, if not then this is a new issue for us.

Note:  Those instructions apply to the Stratux web interface (i.e., connect a device to the Stratux wifi, then open a browser and go to http://192.168.10.1), not anything to do with iFly.

If Cobra's fix doesn't work, let me know. I have a very good contact in the organization and can get y'all in touch.

Brolin and Cobra - thanks for the replies - I'll reinstall the ver 2.0 AHRS module Tuesday and give it another go.

Brolin - nothing that I've tried will make the 2.0 AHRS chip work.  If you would reach out to your Stratux contacts maybe we could get this resolved.  From other Stratux users comments (both here and on the Stratux Reddit forums) the 2.0 AHRS issue affects more than just my unit.

Thanks, Mark
