This looks like a nice solution and it's a plus that I can purchase them right here. I actually have adsb out currently, but it's not compliant. This certainly seems to be the best option for me, of the products I've seen thus far.

Question, Is the IFly 740 good enough for the FAA as a WASS platform?

Ciao

Yes, this has created a buzz in our local pilot community as well.

You have to wonder how far the innovation will go? For years, we were saddled with very expensive and intrusive systems (even more so for those of us with certified aircraft) - and now this.

Our pilot community here is much like many others who form in camps...

-The early adaptors who spent upwards of $25K for the full monte all the gadgets a couple of years ago...

-Those who took the bait and just could not resist the $500 rebate from the faa...

-Those waiting for this to break the $2,000 (total) point...

-Those who will wait and see what happens after 2020...

-Those who will never get it...

Fortunately we are not UNDER any airspace or veil requiring it immediately on 1 Jan 2020.

Unfortunately, we are sandwiched between 3-4 adsb veils and it would make flying very "local" if we don't eventually get it.
